My Poor Ego

I don't know about you but I do struggle alot with centering my own characters in things. Like my own main character won't be a the center of her own story and it annoys me that I keep doing that. Hell even in my comic "Under New Management" suffers from this where the character of Semi is the main character but I sidelined her because I'm convinced no one would be interested in her. It's been a battle I've been dealing with for years.

Funny enough I do know why I do this. I was more or less punished for getting attention when I was younger and so associate attention with discomfort. I'm trying to get over it, but sometimes I lapse back into the habit of sidelining my heroines. Even if no one likes them, I like them. That will have to be enough.

I will just have to keep working. just quietly by myself and hope for the best lol.
